G HOTEL WINS PRESTIGIOUS AWARD
The g Hotel, Galway’s most luxurious five star spa hotel is certainly celebrating the New Year after being named as the top hotel in Ireland on the prestigious ‘Travel & Leisure 500 World’s Best Hotels’! Adding to the exciting win, the g also ranked within the top 100 of the world class properties named by Travel & Leisure, one of the largest and most influential travel publications.
The g hotel stood alongside the impressive London West Hollywood Hotel in California, The Halekulani in Hawaii and Domaine des Hauts de Loire in France to name only a few, highlighting the calibre of properties on the influential list. Last year, the lavish hotel received another honours from Travel & Leisure when selected at the 12th most popular “Large City Hotel’s in Europe” and again was the only Irish hotel chosen in the entire category.
Along with the flawless service and welcoming staff, the design of the hotel created by celebrated Irish milliner Philip Treacy was praised time and again including the raspberry red catwalk carpet, to the hot-pink camouflage-print sofas in the Pink Salon. The inspirational sketches by fashion illustrator David Downton in each of the guestrooms were also a favourite with guests and ESPA at the g, the hotels glorious roof top spa is a must visit in the reviewers opinions.
